Hatch is a physical game incorporating PlayStation Move controllers. It ventures into ideas of rules and what separates a digital game from a physical game when it comes to understood rules of systems and of play. By programming Move controllers, I brought a digital game (the Fire Mountain game within Diddy Kong Racing) into physical space. The project reveals that rule sets differ between physical and digital game spaces. Here you will find documentation of Hatch, including pictures and videos throughout the prototyping process thus far.

Video of Hatch in action at PLAYTECH, this is the first iteration of the project
Current iteration, full motion control now working.
What is next for the project? I'm currently working on creating devices so that the tag mechanic works more automatically. In the current state of the game players use glow sticks to tag other competitors, but it is not enough feedback physically or auditory.
